How to mass delete Passwords on New Microsoft Edge

When you visit a website and enter login credentials, Microsoft Edge Chromium prompts you to save the password to fill in next time. Edge Password Manager allows you to view or delete or edit a single password, you can also delete all saved Passwords in Edge in two ways.

In addition to the above, Edge from version 91 onwards, will warn, if it finds your passwords are weak or reused across accounts.

Microsoft announced that Edge version 90 allows users to delete multiple passwords with a single click.

Delete Saved Passwords in Microsoft Edge using Clear Browsing Data dialog

  1. Open Edge browser
  2. Click on Settings and more, select Settings
  3. Click on Privacy, search, and services
  4. Under Clear browsing data, click “Choose what to clear
  5. Select All time as Time range, select only Passwords
  6. Click Clear now

Mass delete passwords in new Microsoft Edge from Password Settings

  1. Launch Edge browser
  2. Click on the three-dot icon and select Settings
  3. Click on Profiles and click on Password
  4. Click the checkbox box before websites under Saved Passwords
  5. Edge shows the info bar on top with several passwords selected.
  6. Click Delete

Note: If you’re syncing Edge data across your devices by signing into Microsoft Account,.you should turn off sync before proceeding with deletion of Passwords, here is how you can do that.

  • Click Cancel
  • Visit Settings > Profiles > Sync, Click Turn off Sync.

As of writing the article, the feature is available for use in Edge 91 Canary, could be a controlled rollout.

The necessity to remove passwords comes when you share your computer with others. Edge has got the options ready for you to do that when needed.
