Microsoft Edge introduced Flyout Menus for History, Bookmarks, and Downloads. Some users didn’t like the experience. Though you can’t disable these menus, you can access the old version by visiting theirs about pages in the address bar. While Ctrl+H by default opens the History menu, Microsoft Edge now allowing that shortcut to open the Full History page.

Edge History Flyout menu can be accessed by clicking the History icon on the toolbar or by selecting the History option in the Settings and more menu.
The menu in vertical layout shows all Edge history, Recently Closed pages, and Tabs from other devices. The Flyout also contains an option to navigate to the Edge history page.

As we said above, some users found History entries are too hard to read as they appear cut off to fit in the menu.
Microsoft thought of assigning Ctlr+H shortcut to History page until users get accustomed to the new History menu. The change right now being tested in Edge Canary 91.0.837.0.
