New Microsoft Edge can autofill the passwords saved to its Password Manager. After Chrome, the new Microsoft Edge now allows users to edit and copy the saved Passwords
Till now, Microsoft Edge,
- Autofill your logins on respective websites
- Suggests unique and Strong passwords when you signup for new accounts
- Alerts if it finds your passwords are compromised
- Lets you view and delete saved passwords
- Allows to disable Reveal Password button
In addition to the above, Microsoft Edge soon will let you copy and edit saved Passwords. Currently, the feature is available in Canary.
To get started
Edit Saved Passwords in new Microsoft Edge
- Launch new Edge browser
- Click on Settings and More
- Select Settings >Profiles > Saved Passwords
- Click on the More actions icon at the end of the website login entry
- Select “Edit Password”

- Like Chrome and Firefox, Edge asks to enter your Windows account password, do so.
- Change the Password in the Password field and click Done.

Note: Make sure the password you changed and saved, matches that of the website.
It’s worth noting Chrome’s editing Password feature is still behind a flag on desktop and Android.

The Password editing feature is available natively in the Edge browser. By clicking on More actions, you can able to copy a password also and paste it into other apps or browsers.
