Turn Off the Lights extension dev releases Dark theme for Microsoft Edge

Microsoft Edge Chromium itself supports Dark Mode on Windows and comes with Light, dark, and System default themes. Microsoft also offers plenty of game-related themes on Edge Add-ons Store to change the browser appearance. Today, the popular Turn off the lights browser extension developer released Dark theme for Edge browser and is available for download.

Edge Chromium officially supports Chrome Web Store themes.

Hence, in addition to Edge’s built-in Dark theme, you can install various themes from Chrome Web Store including the Just Black by the Chrome team.

And, Edge Canary supports Accent color themes which also includes Dark Gray

See, you’ve various options available to change Edge browser appearance to dark.

As we said above Turn off the Lights extension developer, Stefan vid has released a dark theme for the Microsoft Edge to Edge Add-ons Store.

Download Dark theme for Microsoft Edge

Visiting the theme is pretty straightforward.

  1. Launch Edge browser
  2. Visit  Dark theme for Microsoft Edge page
  3. Click Get theme
  4. Click on Add theme.

To remove the theme or revert the Edge theme to default,

  • Visit Settings
  • Appearance > Custom theme
  • Click Remove.

The dev notes the this is a simple, beautiful, and best dark theme for Microsoft Edge.

The theme is easy on the eyes and doesn’t strain your eyes during the night.

According to the theme dev, the theme uses 80% black color and does not use “shining black as background and frame color” as it reflects everything black to you.
