We’ve covered Microsoft already added back button and jumplist support for Progressive Web Apps (PWAs) in Chromium Edge browser, Chromium team now has provided back and reload buttons support to Chrome PWAs, you should be enabling “Desktop PWAs support minimal-UI” flag in latest Canary 80 to see them.

Google Chrome has added support for PWAs in version 70, with which, you can able to install them by using the option provided in the Chrome menu. PWAs when installing from browsers, like other applications, can be accessed from desktop and start menu and run offline (Vivaldi also supports PWAs).
Chrome 75 made it possible to install PWAs from the address bar, Chrome shows an indicator in the Omnibox when you visit a PWA site. You can manage installed Web apps by visiting chrome:///apps or edge://apps page.
To Enable Back and Reload/Refresh buttons in the title bar for PWAs in Chrome browser
1. Ensure you’re using the latest Chrome Canary 80.0.3948.0r later
2. Visit chrome:///flags page, search for “minimal”, and for the highlighted, Desktop PWAs support minimal-ui result,

3. Select “Enabled” and restart the browser.
Install mobile twitter PWA if you haven’t already, launch it from Start Menu or chrome:///apps page to notice Twitter PWA showing Back and Refresh buttons on the top right corner near the window buttons. .
These buttons will be moved to the top left corner in the near future. The chromium team is also planning to ensure to show buttons only when minimal UI is mentioned in the app manifest.
