Recently Microsoft announced, they’re adding new features to Microsoft Edge during the holiday season. Price comparison, Bing Rebate, and Pinterest integration into Collections are some of them. The company also said, it will roll out Skype’s Meet now to Edge New Tab Page this month, and to Windows 10 taskbar and Outlook on the web in the coming weeks.
A couple of months back, Microsoft did tested the Meet Now button along with Recommended searches on Canary and dev.
After testing, Meet Now is ready to be shown to the user on NTP running Edge stable version.
To start a Skype video call using Meet Now, all you need to do is click on the button on the new tab and generate a meeting link, share it with up to 50 participants, and join the call.
The meeting link will never expire.
No signups or downloads required to use the feature.
‘Meet now’ rolling out Edge Stable New Tab Page
Guess what! according to reports, it is already showing up for some users in the stable version.

When compared with the previous testing, this time, Edge NTP offers a “New tab tips” setting to toggle on or off under Advanced to control new feature recommendations and notifications.
We’re not yet sure turning this off will disable Meet Now on NTP as change hasn’t made into our Edge version.
Is the Meet Now button on the New Tab Page is a convenience or an annoyance? Let us know in the comments below.
