
Microsoft started emailing users to get ready for the new Microsoft Edge coming to their PCs via Windows Update. The email briefs users about Edge features, websites, and extensions compatibility, Extensions and says, the transition from Edge legacy to new Edge will be seamless. The email offers a link to download the new Microsoft Edge also.
Microsoft launched the new Microsoft Edge browser based on Chromium this January 2020 and made it available for a manual download for Windows 7, 8, 8.1 and Windows 10 and Mac.
Recently, the new Edge being pushed out to all Windows 10 versions via Windows Update. The new Microsoft Edge will be downloaded and installed automatically without needing any user interaction.
The Classic Edge will be replaced by a new Edge and the new Edge installed can’t be uninstalled. Your data from old Edge will be imported into the new Edge.
After the update, users need to set up a new Edge where they can sign into Microsoft Account to sync favorites, passwords, extensions, and more across the devices.
Users can customize the Edge new Tab Page to their liking.

Your PC will be updated soon with the latest browser recommended by Microsoft. You’ll get the new Microsoft Edge automatically during a Windows Update.After the update, you’ll see a page welcoming you to the new browser, with tips for getting started. Once the browser launches, make sure you choose your preferences and settings to make the transition effortless.
The email talks about new Edge features such as collections and says it is compatible with all websites and extensions.
At the bottom, the email says you don’t need to wait for an update to arrive, you can download new Edge on your computer now and start using today.

You don’t have to wait for the automatic update to start using the new Microsoft Edge, you can start using it today. Just follow the installation instructions to download and discover what you can do on the web now.
It’s worth noting that users did signup initially to know when Microsoft Edge will be available, but its surprising Microsoft is pushing this email without asking.
