Microsoft Edge installer currently has a strange bug where it shows the gibberish text on the screen for some while installing. From English, German to all languages of Edge installers have been affected, Microsoft confirmed this and said it is working to fix asap.
When Microsoft Edge launched on January 15 of this year, Microsoft Edge installed in a different language for some than they expected when they downloaded and installed Edge on their machine. That was fixed then.
For a few days, bug similar to it has been experienced by quite a few users with the Edge installer.
The Edge installer showed strange text for “Getting new Microsoft Edge” and “installing new Microsoft Edge” phrases. This issue has been reported on social sites such as Twitter and Reddit.
Microsoft Edge Community manager, Miss Quarry said replied to one such tweet and said, Edge Team is aware of the issue and is working to fix it.
Hey, Geoff! Sorry to see you’ve hit this. The team is aware and working on resolving it now. :)
