Today, on July 28th, Mozilla to release Firefox 79 for Windows, Mac, and Linux. The company has already quietly started rolling out “Firefox for Android 79” to some countries. It may take a while to fully roll out globally and available to all users, as of writing, Firefox for Android with internal code name Fenix assigned during development isn’t available for download on Play Store for us in India.
Mozilla has migrated Firefox Nightly, beta users to Fenix already, now the AreweFenixyet site tells the “Release” version is available in the following regions.
SA, UA, NZ, BG, NO, PH.
Today we started to roll-out a rewritten version of Firefox for Android (Fenix). I joined Mozilla to work on Fennec, which is EOL as of today, and ended up helping rewrite it from the ground-up and make sure things migrate well. 4.5 years of work in one tweet :) https://t.co/nwcFtJ3F3U
