Firefox Preview Beta for Android gets Voice Search and more

Soon to be available Firefox Preview 5.2 beta has got Voice Search support and shows Reader mode icon in the address bar. The beta also includes accessibility improvements and bug fixes.

Firefox Nightly and Beta for Android already got Fenix, Firefox for Android stable will soon be replaced with Fenix.

Recently, Mozilla has started experimenting by removing the beta label from Firefox 77 beta for Android. There is a confusion to users which version to use with thee following Firefox products available on Play Store

Today, Firefox Preview 5.2 beta has been released with following new features changes.

1. Firefox now allows users to use voice for searching. The Latest Firefox beta shows a microphone icon in the search bar.

The Voice Search can be disabled or enabled by visiting Settings > Search > address bar > Show voice search

2. The address bar or the toolbar at the bottom turned into a dynamic toolbar, it doesn’t appear when you’re scrolling.

3. Firefox instead of showing a blue dot in the menu to indicate a page supports reader mode, it now shows the Reader view icon in the URL bar. The change also takes away distracting blue dot on the menu.

4. The update includes various accessibility and bug fixes.
