Microsoft Edge now allows users to remove unwanted suggestions that appear in Omnibox. The feature is available to all users in the Canary version 86.0.587.0
New Microsoft Edge remembers whatever you type in the address bar and shows them next time. Because of auto-filling of previous searches from browsing history, typos and private search terms may reappear again.
Till now you can able to remove individual entries by using the shift+Delete button.
Google Chrome has this lack of feature where it doesn’t display a UI in Omnibox to remove suggestions.
Google has worked out and now shows the ‘x’ option for the suggestions at then end in the address bar to remove.
To remove suggestions in the address bar in Microsoft Edge browser
1. Launch Microsoft Edge browser
2. Type something, hover your mouse pointer over suggestion at the end to see x option, click on it to remove it.
The change is in Edge 86 and according to the Edge Release schedule, Microsoft Edge 86 stable will be released in the 2nd week of October.
