After Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge now allows users to remove unwanted suggestions that appear in the address bar dropdown as they type by selecting the X button with the mouse.
The Address bar combined with the search function in any web browser displays suggestions from bookmarks and history as you start to type.
Sometimes typos and private search terms also show up, till now you’ve to select each unnecessary suggestion and need to use the Shift+Delete button to remove it.
This no longer requires in Chrome as well as in Microsoft Edge Canary and dev versions.
In the new Edge, if you now hover the mouse at the end of the suggestion, Edge will display the “X “button, click on it to delete it, it won’t appear again in the address bar.
.
The feature is not available to all users, seems to part of controlled featured roll out. [Source: Reddit]
