Though Tab Groups feature isn’t available in the stable version of Chrome on the desktop, it is already available for Chrome on Android and allows users to group a set of tabs and ungroup them. Google has recently enabled the “Share group” option for a tab group in Chrome Canary on Android to let you get a plaint text of a list of URLs of all tabs in a group when pasted. The change is already live and can be tested in the latest Canary version.
Here is a commit that says about it ” Introduce TabGroup Sharing. This CL adds an item in the TabGridDailog toolbar menu to expose tab group sharing. The group is shared as plain text which is in the format of a list of URLs of all tabs in the group.”
To test the feature right away, launch Chrome Canary 81 on Android, click on tab switcher and make one or more tab groups, tap on the tab group and further tap on the three-dot menu to notice the “Share group ” option below the “Remove tabs from the group”. Select the former and paste in any application or address bar in a new tab to see website URLs present in that tab group.
