
Microsoft has missed publishing a new dev build on Tuesday this week and Edge Canary hasn’t received an update for few days, the company today finally released a new Edge Dev build 80.0.328.4 with bug fixes and improvements. This update brings a new Edge taskbar icon to everyone running the Dev channel.
The update fixes the crashes encountered by users on launch and also addresses the white blank window that appears on startup. The changelog mentions various crashes when using the browser, this is a stability update, everyone should update to and Microsoft has held back new Canary builds until Sync issues users experiencing have been addressed, FYI, Edge Canary as of today, still on 80.0.331.0.
The Dev channel update fixes an issue where extensions installed from Chrome Web Store don’t update automatically. For some users, Edge added Work profiles and they can’t be removable, this issue has been resolved.

Microsoft Edge Stable 79 based on Chromium is expected to release on January 15, 2020, and we’ve already covered about its installation and first-run experience.
