There is no standalone offline installer. Apple’s update page tells Windows 10 and 11 users to get every Apple app from the Microsoft Store, which downloads the package over the internet.

How to install and set up iCloud on Windows 11 and 10
Sign in with the same Apple Account your iPhone, iPad or Mac uses. Keep that device nearby for the verification code.
- Open the iCloud for Windows listing and select Get, or Install inside the Microsoft Store app.
- Wait for the button to change to Open, then select it.
- Sign in to your Apple Account with its email address or phone number and password.
- Enter the code sent to your trusted device or phone number, or use your security key.
- For each app or feature, click Sync [app or feature] or Not Now in the bottom-right corner.
- Open Advanced Settings where offered, or install the browser extension for iCloud Passwords.
- Choose whether to share iCloud analytics, then click Finish Setup.

How to check your iCloud for Windows version and update it
The Microsoft Store updates iCloud for Windows automatically unless app updates are turned off.
- Open Settings > Apps > Installed apps and find iCloud.
- Select the three dots, then Advanced options, and read the Version line.
- Open Microsoft Store and select Library at the bottom left.
- Select Get updates, then Update next to iCloud if it appears.
- Restart iCloud for Windows after the update finishes.
Older non-Store installs update through Apple Software Update, which checks weekly and every time you open it.
Fix iCloud for Windows not installing on Windows 11 or 10
The Microsoft Store will not install iCloud
Windows is older than the May 2019 Update, or no Microsoft account is set up.
- Press Windows + R, type winver , and confirm version 1903 or later.
- Open Settings > Windows Update and install every pending update.
- Sign in to the Microsoft Store with a Microsoft account.
- Retry Get on the iCloud listing.
A message says you need the Media Feature Pack
iCloud for Windows needs Windows Media Player, which is missing or turned off.
- Select Download in the prompt and follow the instructions on the next screen.
- If Media Features were turned off, open Control Panel > Programs and Features.
- Click Turn Windows features on or off.

The connection dropped, or Apple has an outage.
- Check that the PC is online and turn off any VPN.
- Open Apple’s System Status page and look for an iCloud issue.
- Wait for any outage or maintenance to end, then sign in again.

How to uninstall iCloud for Windows
Copy any iCloud files you want to keep first. Signing out removes iCloud data from the PC, though it stays on your other devices and iCloud.com.
- Open iCloud for Windows, click Account Details, then Sign Out.
- On Windows 11, open Start > Settings > Apps > Installed apps.
- Find iCloud, click the More button, then choose Uninstall.
- On Windows 10, open Start > Settings > Apps > Apps & features, select iCloud, then Uninstall.
- If you set up iCloud Mail in Outlook, select iCloud Outlook, click Modify, then choose Remove.
