Google is testing “Sharing Hub” or a Custom Share Sheet for Chrome Canary on Android. The feature is available behind a flag and can be enabled. If you’re not happy with Android share UI that pops up when you tap the share button in menu, you can now check the new Share UI which Chromium team is prepping.
The sharing hub offers QR Code, Send tab to Self/other devices and Copy link buttons in the first row with “more ” button at the bottom that opens system share sheet. The company is planning to add Screenshot function as well to the first row.
The QR code button like the feature covered before not generating QR code here also, the Send to your devices and copy link are working perfectly though.
Enable Sharing hub for Chrome on Android
1.Ensure you’re using Chrome Canary 81.0.4005.0 or higher
2.Visit chrome://flags page
3.Search for hub, for “Chrome Sharing Hub” flag, select “enabled” and relaunch the browser
If relaunching of Canary is not succesfull, open device Settings and force Stop Canary and reopen it to to apply the changes.
