Mozilla is making changes to Tab Context Menu items in Firefox 64. Apparently in Nightly version, the company has added new ‘Select All Tabs’ and moved ‘Close Tabs to Right’ and ‘Close Other Tabs’ to ‘Close Tab Options’ sub-menu and ‘Move to new Window’ has been brought into new ‘Move Tab’ which contains options to move tabs to start or end of the tab bar.
Changes to tab context menu in Firefox 64
Look at the tab context menu in Firefox 62.0.3 and 64 for a comparison below.

‘Select All Tabs’ option appears on the context menu for a single tab and multi-selected tabs, the option either will be grayed out or hidden when all tabs are already selected in the first place.
Move Tab Sub menu offers Move to Start, Move to End and Move to New Window options to let you move tabs to start or end of tab bar or to a new Window. Have you ever moved tabs to the beginning or end of the tab bar, think the change will be useful to yours?
And last, both Close other Tabs and Close tabs to Riight have been moved to new Close Tab Options submenu. More changes likely to happen, for instance, they could remove ‘Reload all Tabs’ option. Apart from Multiselect tabs, Mozilla is working on something new releated to tab management, we’ll let you know about it in another post.
What do you say on these changes?
My only comment: W-T-F
holy sh*t. pls turn it back !
Close Tab options has been pulled out and not landed in the release version.
I hate this change. I use the Move to New Window option constantly. I don’t use anything else in that menu. Ever. This change just made my workflow worse with no advantage. If you want to make Firefox less competitive, this is how you do it.
I completely agree, this was an absolutely stupid move to hide the move to new window option under a menu. It serves absolutely no purpose and makes the browsing experience more difficult.
I start to feel hatred for an anonymous individual, out there, at Mozilla: I use ‘move to new window’ often and have now to do extra clicks and movements. I am getting a little bit more upset each time I use the feature now, up to the point I’m starting to look up how to change it back the way it was. I don’t know. … the fuck they did that for ?! Whoever you are, I know you are not reading this, I’m telling you : <>
I am disappointed by the change.
The “move to new window” option is part of my workflow to shift a media stream to the second monitor. Having an option to “move to alternate monitor” would be a step up and I would be happy to save time by using it. The current change on the other hand wastes time and add no real value in terms of options that are used.
The hidden nature of the option will also make it less likely that people will stumble on the functionality so a useful feature will fade into obscurity.
