Yesterday, on August 31st, Microsoft has released a cumulative Update for Windows 10– KB3176938– which apart from quality improvements, has also included a fix to address the Windows 10 freezing issue faced by a small amount of users when they sign into Windows after installing anniversary Update.

Microsoft has found after investigation ‘that a small fraction of users who had moved app information to a second logical drive could encounter this issue.’
The Software giant has confirmed that ‘The Windows Update released on August 31st for Windows 10 includes a fix for this issue. This update is automatically applied when installing the Anniversary Update.’

If you’ve uninstalled Windows version 1607 because of this issue the company is asking to re-install the Anniversary Update using Windows Update Assistant by visiting Windows 10 download page.
