When does Fable release?
Fable launches on February 23, 2027 on every platform. The Premium Edition gives early access from February 18, 2027, up to five days before launch.
In January 2026, after the Developer_Direct, Xbox Wire said Fable would arrive in autumn 2026. A June 7, 2026 Xbox Wire post then gave the February 23, 2027 date, and the store listings now match it.

When can you download Fable?
Premium Edition owners can play from February 18, 2027, and everyone else from February 23, 2027. Pre-loading is possible on Xbox, but no store has published the day pre-loads open.
On xbox.com, Xbox invites players to pre-install Fable with Game Pass, without giving a start date. Steam sells Fable as a pre-purchase but gives no pre-load date. The PlayStation Store page does not mention a pre-download at all.

Pre-orders are open on all three storefronts. Any pre-order adds the Pre-Order Content Pack, which ends at launch and is limited to one per person or account.
- Open the Fable page on xbox.com, the Fable store page on Steam, or the Fable listing in the PlayStation Store.
- Choose Fable Standard Edition ($69.99) or Fable Premium Edition ($99.99).
- On xbox.com, select Pre-order now; on Steam, select Add to Cart under the edition you want.
