Microsoft adds support for exporting “Bing chat” responses or “answers” in the Edge sidebar in “Text”, “Word”, and “PDF formats”. Bing AI in Edge already provides these options, now Chat pane in Sidebar too has received them.
Microsoft integrates Export Options for Bing Chat Answers in Edge Sidebar
Microsoft has integrated Bing Chat based on OpenAI’s ChatGPT into Search and Edge browsers.
While ChatGPT which uses GPT 3 works on any web browser, Bing Chat Experience which uses newer GPT-4 is restricted to the Edge and users need to sign into Edge with Microsoft Account for Bing’s Search or chat feature to work.
Microsoft continues to improve Bing Chat available in Edge Sidebar. To the latest, the company added an Export button to the Bing Chat pane making it easier to export content generated by Chatbot into Word documents, PDFs, or text files.
The Bing team announced export options a month back. It has turned into a reality today.
But, the feature isn’t live for all in Edge. Instead, like other controlled feature rollouts, the change is also available to a few insiders in Canary channels.

After choosing an option, Bing’s response will be saved in that format. For instance, if you select Word, it will be downloaded and available to open and view with Microsoft Office or Microsoft Word. Bing chat answers can be exported in Text and PDF format also.
Microsoft is just replicating everything about Bing’s AI in Search in the Chat Pane of Edge Sidebar.
