Microsoft has recently released Windows 11 to the beta channel. The company suggested users switch to beta from Dev to get stable builds. Unfortunately, some users can’t see the insider Settings in Windows 11 to make a move, they’re broken. Redmond tech giant today acknowledged the issue after receiving reports and offered a fix for the same.
Here is what happened:
Windows 11 Beta version build 22000.100 has been made available to insiders. For this onetime, the company allowed users in the dev channel to jump to Beta without needing a clean install.
Users who wanted to try noticed the option to select Beta doesn’t exist on their devices
They’re left with the “stop getting Preview builds” Setting. The below screenshot explains the issue.
Microsoft today announced instructions to address this.
Windows 11 Insider Settings missing
- Press the Win key to open the Start Menu
- Type cmd in the Search box.
- Click Run as administrator
- When UAC opens and asks for permission, click OK
- Type bcdedit /set flightsigning on and press Enter.
- Fruther type bcdedit /set {bootmgr} flightsigning on and press Enter
- Reboot the device.
That should fix the problem as per Microsoft.
After that, when you visit Settings > Windows Update > Windows Insider Program and click on “Choose your insider Settings”, you should be able to select the Beta Channel as shown in the below screenshot.
