
Developers have started bringing their apps to the new Microsoft Store. Recently, we reported about the Microsoft Edge browser, now in addition to the existing VLC UWP app, Videolan has published VLC Win32 App to Store on Windows 11 and is available for free download.

New VLC Win32 Store App
VLC Media Player is an open-source and cross-platform Media player that plays most of the video and audio formats.
VLC is supported on Windows, Mac, Linux, Android, and iOS.
VLC UWP is available on Microsoft Store with fewer features when compared with the desktop version.
Now, Videolan published the first version of the Win32 app for VLC Player to Microsoft Store on Windows 11 with DVD support.

- Launch Microsoft Store
- Search for “VLC win32” in the search bar
- Click the install button.
Use the VLC Player shortcut on desktop or search for same in Start Menu or Windows Search and launch the app and play multimedia files.
