Microsoft is working on a Public Issue tracker for Edge

Microsoft confirms they’re working on a Public Issue Tracker for the new Edge browser. Even when it is available, users may still need to send feedback through Edge, that way, they’ll get email updates on the issues submitted, the Edge team says.

Highlights:

Like Chrome or Chromium, new Microsoft Edge will also have a public issue tracker
Users able to submit bug reports via feedback tool in Edge
Users receive email updates for the issues they’ve submitted to the Edge team.

If you have a problem with Chrome on Windows, Mac, Linux, Chome OS, or Android, you can create a bug on the Chromium Public issue tracker and follow and track the progress on the issue.

Even new Microsoft Edge is based on Chromium, there is no public issue tracker available for that, finding a bug related to Edge became difficult now.

Edge team relies on feedback sent through the new Edge browser in Canary, dev, beta, and stable channels by users to fix Edge Specific bugs.

Here is how you can submit feedback to Microsoft in Edge.

Launch Edge browser
Visit the website you’re having the issue.
Click on ellipsis icon, select Settings > Help and feedback > Send feedback
Describe the issue, enter your email address, including the screenshot, use attachments to include diagnostic data
Click Send.

Microsoft will email you when there is any update on the issue.

Microsoft Edge Community Manager, Miss Quarry shared the news a while back by saying that they’re “working on a public issue tracker, but the reporting would likely still goes through the browser itself.”

You are correct. If you provide your email, we do send out email updates about the report. Additionally, we are working on a public issue tracker, but the reporting would likely still go through the browser itself. We don’t have a lot of details to share at this time for it.
