Microsoft Edge Chromium’s Feedback Tool comes with a Screenshot Editor

Last updated on June 29, 2019 By Venkat

If you’re using Edge insider Preview build, have you ever submitted feedback to Microsoft Edge team via Feedback tool included in the browser,  if you’re not, open the feedback tool and check now to see “Screenshot Editor” Microsoft integrated for users to crop and edit screenshots of the page having issue before sending to them.

To test or try Screenshot Editor in Feedback tool in new Edge browser

1. Click on the smiley icon on the toolbar to open “Send Feedback” dialog,

2. Hover over the image under “Include this screenshot” option and click on it for the editor to appear,

3. Click “Crop “and make the adjustments to the image, once you’re satisfied, click Apply and Save. Now type the issue you’re having with that website on Edge browser, mention your email address as well if you like to get a reply directly from Edge team and click Send, done.

Unfortunately, the changes made to screenshot from editor can’t be saved locally to the computer. If that is possible, Screenshot Editor would become more useful to edit website screenshots, what do you say? [Thanks to Eric for sharing this]

Google Chrome too allows to send feedback from the browser, for that, you need to click on menu > Help > Report Issue (Alt+Shift+I). It also captures the current page screenshot but doesn’t offer an editor though.
