How to disable desktop-style tab UI in Vivaldi on Android?

Finally, after a long time, the Vivaldi browser has come to mobiles on Android and is now available for download on Google Play Store with ad blocker and tracking protection powered by DuckDuckGo Tracker Radar. While Vivaldi 3.0 is packed with a set of new features, one thing you’ll notice immediately after installing it is its ‘desktop-style tab strip’ in the user interface.

Vivaldi for android which is also compatible with Android tablets and Chromebooks shows the tabs you’ve open and allows to switch to them with the new tab strip it offers in the UI if you want more screen space or real estate you can disable tab strip in the Vivaldi browser, here is how you can do that.

Disable Vivaldi browser’s tab strip on Android

1. Tap  on the V icon

2. Select Settings

3. Disable ‘Show tab strip’

Vivaldi allows you to close tabs on Android by swiping to right, you can see the setting to enable it in the above screenshot.
