New Microsoft Edge shows Greetings and Weather Forecast on New Tab Page

Microsoft Edge based on Chromium will be launched on January 15 by Microsoft, which is a week away from today. Today, we’ve covered Microsoft Edge on Android has received customizing options for New Tab Page, the news is Chromium Edge on Windows now also shows weather forecast and greetings on new tab page if you’ve signed into browser with Microsoft Account.

If you’ve created a profile in new Microsoft Edge browser and not signed into Microsoft Account, you’ll be missing weather information and greetings displayed by new Edge on NTP.

With you signed into MSA, irrespective of New Tab Page layout you’ve choosen from Focused, inspirational, informational and Custom, whenever you open the new tab, you’ll see a greeting such as “good evening” and current temperature which when clicked takes you to msn page with forecast information with the data provided by foreca.

You can disable the greeting by clicking on the cog wheel > Custom > Show Greeting >Of. The feature can be seen or spotted when you signed into Edge dev/ Canary channel.
