Microsoft Edge for Android now makes New Tab Page Layout Customizable

After adding redesigned menu to Edge on Android, Microsoft has added new options to customize New Tab Page to the hamburger menu. The options are Focused, Inspirational, Informational and Custom, which you can already see in Chromium Edge on Desktop.

Recent update for Microsoft Edge has brought a shiny new icon to Android as well after rolling out to Microsoft Edge insider channels on Windows and Mac. With the Edge Stable launch a week away, Microsoft Edge on Andriod offers syncing options for old and new Microsoft Edge.

As of today Edge on version 44.11.24.4121 updated 5 days ago, gives new options to modify the new tab page layout and provides Focused, Inspirational, Informational and Custom settings.

Focused design displays top sites only along with the search box.

Inspirational layout shows most visited sites and images of the day on NTP while Informational Setting displays top sites, Bing image of the day and news feed.

What you see on the New Tab including news feed, can be controlled when you chose “custom” setting under Page layout in hamburger menu icon and the news can also be disabled by toggling the “Hide news feed” setting available for New tab page in Settings.

Its appreciable that Microsoft is making sure Edge on Android looks similar to some what Chromium Edge browser on desktop so that users feel at home when they use Edge on desktop and Android.
