It does take a while for the update to appear on Store for users. If you can’t wait, you can update to the latest version by downloading and installing APKs made available by the organization.
In case you don’t know, current Firefox Preview for Android with codename “Fenix” is going to replace Firefox Fennec in 2020. When you install the Preview version for the first time, Firefox shows a first-run page and asks you to choose a theme, the browser informs it offers private browsing and blocks trackers as you browse the web.
Till now the Preview version has brought basic Enhanced Tracking Protection, dark theme support, clipboard search suggestions and allows the user to create a shortcut to private browsing and clear browsing data when you quit.
Mozilla is updating Firefox Preview more frequently these days. Though the version 2.2.0 hasn’t added any new features, the changelog mentions the update “fixed a few major user interface and usability bugs”. For advanced users and developers, the Nighly version is available on the Store.
