
The “Firefox Preview 2.0” version is now available on Play Store and is available to download with new features and enhancements to private browsing and bug fixes.
Since the release of Firefox Preview v 1.0, Mozilla has improved and added a lot of new features to 2.0 version, here is what’s new based on the official help page.
We’ve already covered you can add Firefox Preview Search widget to the home screen on android, following that, you can now add a shortcut for your favorite websites to Home screen, for that: visit a website, tap on menu button and select “Add to Home Screen”, done.
Send a tab from Firefox Preview to your PC. For this, you need to sign into Firefox Account on both the devices.
By tapping on the Private browsing shortcut available in Settings, you can able to add it to Home Screen and launch Firefox Preview in Private browsing mode by default.
The “Delete browsing data” option available in Settings allows to select the type of data you want to delete from Open tabs, Browsing history and site data, and Collections.
If a video/audio is playing in a tab in Firefox Preview, a notification will be displayed to pause or play it.
You can long-press the URL in the address bar to copy, paste or paste and go.
If you’ve already logged into another Firefox browser on the same Android device, a single tap signs you into Firefox account in the Firefox Preview.
Though Enhanced Tracking Protection is enabled by default, it is not full-fledged one as mockups showed here,. ETP feature enabled by default in v2.0.0 doesn’t offer “Standard” and Strict options, and also doesn’t display which trackers it blocked from the shield icon in the protection panel.
