Launching Windows Defender is quite a difficult task for users of Windows 10 as Windows doesn’t show it’s icon on the desktop or in the start menu. There are other ways to open the built-in antivirus though: click on Windows key and type defender, click on the best match or right click on the Windows Defender icon in the system tray and select ‘Open’.
Microsoft has accepted the problem and released a free app, Windows Defender Hub on Windows Store for this purpose. This app, neither needs subscription nor contains nagware.
