Setup takes a few minutes and needs a working internet connection the whole time.
- Open the NZXT CAM page on nzxt.com.

Install stable NZXT CAM. Use CAM Beta only if you want to test upcoming features. Beta builds carry features that are still in testing, and CAM controls pump and fan speeds, so a bug has real effects. Version 4.76.0 reset some user profiles to defaults, which 4.76.1 fixed.

Fix NZXT CAM not installing or starting on Windows 11 or 10
Installation failed with error code 2 or code 5
The installer cannot reach NZXT’s server to download CAM.
- Check that the PC is online with a stable connection.
- Turn off any VPN and run the installer again.
- Check that your firewall or antivirus is not blocking NZXT CAM.
Setup fails on an older PC
CAM does not support Windows 8.1 or older, or another CAM process is still running.
- Update to Windows 10 or Windows 11 with the latest updates.
- Open Task Manager and end every NZXT CAM.exe and cam_helper.exe process.
- Run NZXT-CAM-Setup.exe again.
CAM opens to a white screen or stays on Loading
A corrupted settings file or profile.
- Right-click the CAM icon in the tray and select Exit NZXT CAM.
- Press Windows+R, type %AppData% and press Enter.
- Open the NZXT CAM folder and delete Settings.json.
- Relaunch CAM. If it still hangs, delete the whole NZXT CAM folder to wipe settings and profiles.
CAM does not start with Windows
The startup option is off in CAM or in Windows.
- In CAM, open Settings > General and turn on Start NZXT CAM on Windows startup.
- Open Task Manager > Startup apps and set NZXT CAM to Enabled.
- Open Settings > Apps > Startup in Windows and set NZXT CAM to On.

How to uninstall NZXT CAM
The uninstaller leaves your CAM settings in place, which helps a quick reinstall.
- Open Settings from the Start menu.
- Select Apps, then Installed apps.
- Set Sort by to Name (A to Z) and find NZXT CAM.
- Select … next to it, choose Uninstall and confirm.
- For a clean removal, type %AppData% in File Explorer’s address bar and delete the NZXT CAM folder.
