Google is working on a new interface for Profile Picker in Chrome browser that allows you to select a user profile or lets you add a new profile to the browser when you launch Chrome. The new Profile Picker UI is now working in Chrome 87 Canary when the related flag is enabled.
Chrome supports multiple profiles (New Microsoft Edge also). You can create separate profiles for work and personal needs. Your bookmarks, history, passwords, and browser settings won’t be mixed when you use more than one profile.
Profiles are perfect when you share a computer with multiple persons.
To add a new person to Chrome
- Launch Chrome browser
- Click on the Profile icon
- Click Add
- Choose one picture for your profile and type your name
- Click Add, done.
Desktop shortcut for that person will be created on the desktop. You can also easily switch between profiles in the user menu.
Till now this is how you added a new user and assigned a profile picture to it and then used the shortcut created on desktop to launch that Profile.
Now, Chromium team is changing the interface of Chrome Profile Picker to a new one where, if you now click Add option in the User Profile menu, the new UI opens and shows current profiles with ability to add another person.

The new UI with Guest browsing option, displays the following message :
“Who’s using Chrome? Use different profiles in Chrome to separate work and personal browsing, or for different people who use this device.”
