How to install Surfshark on Windows 11 and 10
Sign in to Windows with an administrator account. Company-managed PCs often block app installs.

Fix Surfshark not installing on Windows 11 or 10

You do not have permission to install this app
Your Windows account has no administrator rights, which is common on work laptops.
- Ask your IT administrator to install Surfshark for you.
- Or add the Surfshark browser extension to Edge, Chrome or Firefox instead, which needs no admin rights.
Setup stops or the installer is blocked
Third-party antivirus software is interfering with the installation.
- Pause or disable your antivirus temporarily.
- Run the Surfshark setup file again.
- Turn the antivirus back on once Surfshark opens.
A .NET error appears during setup
Surfshark 5.12.0 and later needs .NET 8.0 or later, and an older runtime stops the install.

How to uninstall Surfshark
