Opera Software doesn’t stop testing new features for its desktop browser. To the latest, the company quietly enabled the “Pinboard” option in the address bar. The aim of the feature is to allow users to create pinboards and share pins. As of writing, the feature is available by default in Opera 78.
How to Create Pinboards in the Opera browser
To get started,
- Launch Opera, visit any website or web page
- Click on the Pin option in the URL bar and click save or right-click on the tab and select Save tab to Pinboard in the Save menu.

- Visit Opera://pinboard to see all Pinboards you created this way.

- While you’re on the Pinboard page, click on the New Pinboard and add a pin by entering Headline, description, link, and an image. You can also add multiple pins to exiting Pinboards.
- Click on the three-dot icon for each pin and use the option to share it.
The Opera address bar is already crowded with snapshot, send to My flow, and bookmark options, this could be another unwanted addition.
As of now, there is no way to disable or turn off the Pinboard button in the search bar. Let us hope Opera provides one with upcoming updates.
While we’re not a fan of this, you may find it unnecessary or bloatware as well. Do let us know you like Opera’s new Pinboards feature or not, in the comments below
