
Latest Windows 10 build 11102 rolled out to insiders in the fast ring is resetting app defaults, we’ve received a series of notifications from action center this morning after upgrading to the build 11102. We all know November update has caused this problem to users who upgraded from Windows 10 build 10240.
This is annoying, even though this is preview build, Microsoft should take care these things not happen again and again. This sort of news may stop users from switching to Windows 10 from older versions of Windows, so the software giant goal may not be accomplished in the future.

For instance, notification that says the reasons for changing (VLC player) app default for .MKV files to Movies &TV was: it caused a problem with the default app setting for .MKV files, so it was reset.
Same was the reason mentioned for changing .jpeg files and .htm files opening association to Photos and Edge apps respectively. Here affected users need to start setting defaults for file types they use from the beginning again.
