Yahoo in partnership with Paperless Post has added the most requested feature, Stationery back to their email service on the web – when Yahoo Mail was updated last year, they’ve removed the Stationery feature – and it will soon be added to mobile version also. Yahoo Mail offers 50 beautiful designs for their users to personalize their email message before sending.
Stationery now available in Yahoo Mail
To use the new stationery in Yahoo mail, compose a new message, click on the stamp button next to the attachment paper-clip in the toolbar at the bottom. You can choose from four categories of designs, they’re : Featured, Everyday, Birthday and Holiday. Choose one and click on it to insert into the message, after writing the message, click on ‘Send’, done.
Visit this page for more information and check Yahoo’s blog post also.
This “service” is crap. I can’t even send a one-line email via Yahoo without being subjected to a barrage of unwanted stationery options that clutters up my screen and prevents me from seeing what I’m actually typing. The day Yahoo finally decides to break with this company will be a welcome day, in my book.
Stationery designs won’t appear unless you click on its icon on the toolbar, Wong thanks for sharing your comment.
Venka,
That simply isn’t true. I have never touched the stationary button until it popped up and now it won’t go away no matter what I do. This is a crappy option and messes everything up. Its very frustrating.
I have the same issue. It is extremely irritating. Why does Yahoo keep insisting on “fixing” things that aren’t broken??? PLEASE REMOVE this CRAP from the EMAIL service that I PAY FOR.
I agree with Dan S and R Wong! It’s very frustrating. I didn’t click anything but reply button, and the page just jumps down the stationary every time I wanted to type something. Is there anyway to deactivate this stationary add-in?
I am not able to reproduce what you said for my Yahoo mail, and at present, seems its not possible to disable Stationery.
Most idiotic feature yet. It does keep popping up and is a nuisance. Thanks yahoo for making the sending of a basic email a pain
Jacqueline Levy, which browser and operating system you’re on? Sharing a screenshot will be helpful in knowing the problem.
Venkat, you must be kidding, right?
How come you are the only one who can’t see that this stupid stationary feature is getting in the way of sending any simple message
It’s crap, pure and simple
Craig, I don’t need to convince anybody here, but I am saying the fact, tested now by sending a message and replying to a message, stationery hasn’t came in my way.
I am SO very glad that I read this particular site with the comments before I downloaded paperless post… THANK YOU to all of you for your comments… I truly appreciate it… To bad Yahoo simply didn’t reinstall the former stationery that people seemed satisfied with.
OK… I retract everything I said in yesterday’s post. I sallied forth and clicked onto the Stationary button.
Everything works BEAUTIFULLY… absolutely NO PROBLEMS whatsoever…
I am thankful that the former problems with the newsfeed were addressed…If anyone STILL has problems I would suggest that maybe it might be connected to a different problem…
THANK YOU Yahoo and Paperless Post.
Those that are troubled with this crap stationery jumping on ANY out-going e-mail is CORRECT. It is a nuisance. It, previously, was neat when we had to ASK for a stationery. Not now, the last image comes on, automatically and is BAD!
Please I need deactivate the auto stationary, I need the default to be NONE. It’s wasting time that I do not have. We need a solution fast.
I love stationery mail. I do not have the problems mentioned in some posts. If I want stationery I just click on the icon. I do wish Yahoo could download a bigger selection. Otherwise, thank you Yahoo for returning stationery.
How do I keep a certain stationery (Prospect Park) as my choice for all my emails?
It wished Flickr to work seamlexsly wiuth Yahoo Mail.
