Public Beta for Avast Program Update 8.0.1486 Now Available

Avast has made third public beta for their upcoming program update 8.0.1486 available for download for testing and feedback. This beta brings screen readers support, ability to turn off Software updater and with other improvements.

What’s new in Avast 8.0.1486 Beta

  • added compatibility for screen readers.
  • You can now disable Avast Software Updater from Settings, open Avast UI>Settings>Software Updater uncheck “Enable Software Updater” and click Ok to save the changes.
  • WebRep plugin has been redesigned and improved, now when you install this beta you can see “Avast Online Security” extension being installed for Chrome, Firefox and Internet Explorer browsers.
