Version 3.0.2 extended the redesigned interface to Ryzen 5000 series, so 5000-series owners get the new Basic and Advanced modes.

How to install Ryzen Master on Windows 11 and 10
AMD recommends updating to your motherboard maker’s latest BIOS and loading the BIOS default settings before you install.
- Open the AMD Ryzen Master page on amd.com and scroll to Download.
- Click Download Now under the row for your processor series.
- Double-click the downloaded .exe file to start the installation wizard.
- Select Yes in User Account Control.
- Read the legal disclaimer about running the processor beyond stock settings, and accept it.
- Follow the remaining prompts to finish setup.
- Open AMD Ryzen Master from the Start menu.
On first launch, Ryzen Master copies your current processor settings as its reset defaults. Any changes already made in the BIOS carry over into those defaults.
Can you install Ryzen Master on a Mac?
AMD’s user guide lists two supported operating systems: Windows 10 64-bit and Windows 11 64-bit.

AMD publishes no macOS or Linux version. The tool talks directly to AMD Ryzen processors on AM4, AM5 and SP6 platforms, so it belongs on a Windows PC built around one.
Is Ryzen Master free?
Yes. Ryzen Master is a free download from amd.com, with no licence key or subscription. AMD ships it for every multiplier-unlocked Ryzen processor. The cost is warranty cover: AMD states that its product warranty does not cover damage caused by overclocking, even when you overclock with AMD’s own software. A site that charges for Ryzen Master, or wraps it in a download manager, is not AMD.
How to check your Ryzen Master version and update it
- Open AMD Ryzen Master and go to Settings > General.
- Read the installed version shown there.
- Click Download next to the version when a newer build is available.
- Follow the prompts to finish the upgrade.
- Restart Ryzen Master and check the version again.
A download button also appears in the title bar when AMD releases a new version. You can instead run the newest installer from amd.com over the old one, and the wizard upgrades it in place.

Fix Ryzen Master not installing or not working
Ryzen Master fails to install or upgrade
Files from an earlier install block the new one.
- Run Microsoft’s install and uninstall troubleshooter against AMD Ryzen Master.
- If that fails, run the AMD Cleanup Utility from amd.com.
- Restart the PC.
- Run the newest installer for your processor from amd.com again.
Only the Dashboard opens and tuning options are missing
The system has no overclocking support, so Ryzen Master runs in monitoring-only mode.
- Check your processor and chipset against the requirements table above.
- Update the motherboard to the latest BIOS from its manufacturer.
- Load the BIOS default settings, then open Ryzen Master again.
Wrong readings after a BIOS update or a new CPU
Ryzen Master stores its defaults from the processor and BIOS it saw on first launch.
- Export your tuning profiles from Ryzen Master.
- Uninstall Ryzen Master and restart the PC.
- Install it again from amd.com.
- Import your saved profiles.
The installer does not match your processor
Each AMD download targets one processor generation.
- Check your processor name in Settings > System > About.
- Download the build for that series from the table at the top of this page.
- Install it over the wrong one or uninstall the wrong one first.
How to uninstall Ryzen Master
Export any tuning profiles first, so you can import them again after a reinstall.
- Open Settings > Apps > Installed apps.
- Find AMD Ryzen Master in the list.
- Click the three-dot menu next to it and select Uninstall.
- Confirm with Uninstall, then select Yes in User Account Control.
- Restart the PC when removal finishes.
If the entry will not remove, run Microsoft’s install and uninstall troubleshooter, which AMD’s user guide recommends for failed installs.
