After Firefox, when you try to visit a website that’s already open in browser, the Google Chrome browser offers the “Switch to this tab” button in the Omnibox dropdown, which you can select and avoid opening duplicate tabs in the Chrome browser. The tab switch suggestion showed on right may not be noticed if you’re in a hurry, that’s why to improve this, Google is working to display tab switch suggestions in a dedicated row in Chrome’s Omnibox.
What this does is following the original suggestion displayed in the address bar, Chrome will show “each tab switch suggestion in a separate suggestion”, so there is no way for the user to miss switch to this tab option when he sees the original suggestion.
To test this feature,
1. Launch Chrome Canary
2. Visit about:flags page, search for “dedicated row” without quotes
3. For the “Omnibox dedicated row tab switch suggestions”, select “Enabled” and restart the browser.
