Firefox 74: Ctrl+I Shortcut now opens Page Info instead of Bookmarks Sidebar

Till now in Firefox if you press “Ctrl+I”  keyboard shortcut, Bookmarks sidebar opens, this to change from Firefox 74 onwards, as the shortcut to open “Page Info” dialog.

Note: Bookmarks sidebar can also be opened with Ctrl+B shortcut.

Mozilla assigns Ctrl+I keyboard shortcut to Page Info in Firefox

A bug was filed 17 years ago to question why Ctrl+I opens the Bookmarks sidebar instead of Page Information when another shortcut Ctrl+B available for the same. The bug has been marked as Wontfix then, a similar bug created two months back has been fixed for Firefox 74 to make Ctrl+I shortcut to open site information in a pop-up.

FYI, Page Information for the current site open in Firefox browser can be displayed if you select the “View page info” option in the context menu and you can also enable the Menu bar and select the option present in the View menu for the same, the option has been updated to show the shortcut.
