
The Twitter website with the new design by default displays top tweets first, which may cause you to miss important tweets from your followers, though the site allows switching to latest tweets, it reverts to top tweets after a while, here is how you can force the new twitter to always display the latest tweets first.
The redesigned twitter interface for Web not liked by many, twitter engineering team itself acknowledged they’re working to address few issues based on feedback such as “staying on latest tweets” after hitting star button, unintended jumpiness, “losing your spot in the timeline when writing a new tweet” etc.

Latest Tweets First Chrome extension
Coming back to sticking with and adapting to new twitter, by default, it shows top tweets first, you can hit star icon and set Twitter to show latest tweets, but this only works for few hours, after that Top tweets will be showed again. This is annoying and a Chrome extension with name “Latest Tweets First” wants to address that.
The extension available for Chrome browser only forces twitter feed to show the latest tweets first. With this extension, the option to switch back to top tweets will be disabled, if you want that back, disable or remove the extension.
