It’s no longer possible to go back to old twitter design now, though you can achieve that by spoofing user agent or by accessing new twitter in Internet Explorer 11, the experience won’t be great, what we say is receive it and get used to it. An extension named “Productive Twitter” aims to bring minimal theme for Twitter to make it better is now available for Firefox and Chrome browsers.
The Twitter’s new design that went live in July 2019 with three columns isn’t great let’s accept that -so much white space and distracting sidebar on right with trends and “who to follow” stuff.
The Productive Twitter extension available for Chrome and Firefox browser removes the all the stuff on the right sidebar except the search bar. The developer created the extension for personal use and published on Chrome and Firefox add-on stores after receiving requests from some users on Twitter.

The developer says you’ll find her extension more useful if you use Twitter with “background” theme and “Color” set to “Dim” and “Pink” respectively in display settings. Here is what you need to do after installing the extension.
1. Sign into Twitter with your username and password
2. Click on More > Display, select Dim and choose Pink color.
Note: The extension also removes Tweet button in first column, use “What’s happening” search field to post tweets.
Do note The stuff on right sidebar such as trends and Who to Follow and other stuff can be blocked by ad blocker, but this extension also brings some tweaks to UI it does remove Twitter, give the Productive Twitter extension a try and let us know you liked it or not in the comments below.
