Not like to go through the long list of improvement and fixes Microsoft provides for each Windows 10 Cumulative Update on its support site? You’ve been heard by the company and starting from CUs released on July 9, 2019, they’re providing “Highlights” and “How to get this update” sections, this has been announced by Windows Update on Twitter.
For instance, recent Cumulative Update KB4507455 for Windows 10 version 1903 released two days back includes important changes in Highlights and offers an explanation on how to get the update at the bottom of the page along with improvements and Known issues and fixes the update brings to Windows 10.
How to get this update section always reminds you to get latest servicing Stack Update (SSU) before installing the update and explains SSUs “improve the reliability of the update process to mitigate potential issues while installing the LCU and Microsoft Security fixes”.
The page informs the latest cumulative update will be downloaded and installed automatically by Windows Update and is also available for manual download from Microsoft Update Catalog.
Did you notice any changes to today’s release notes? Based on user feedback, we added a “Highlights” section and more details in the “How to get this update” section of each cumulative update release note. Check it out here: https://t.co/paL5P1rg76.
