
Microsoft has announced they started rolling out “Windows 10 May 2019 Update” version 1903 to eligible devices and the company has also pushed May 2019 updates as part of Patch Tuesday to Windows 10 systems. Particularly, the cumulative Update KB4497934 published on May 21, 2019, for Windows 10 v1809, apart from containing routine bug fixes and improvements brings more control over the installing latest Windows 10 feature update on your device.
If you’ve installed CU KB4497934 and if your device is eligible, Windows Update shows Windows 10 version 1903 “Download and install now” option in a separate module in Windows Update page to upgrade.
“Starting with update KB449734, we are introducing functionality that allows you to decide when to install a feature update. You control when you get a feature update while simultaneously keeping your devices up to date. Feature updates that are available for eligible devices will appear in a separate module on the Windows Update page (Settings > Update and Security > Windows Update). If you would like to get an available select Download and install now.” Support document reads.
To install KB4497934 update
Visit Settings > Update and Security > Windows Update, check for updates
Download and install all updates that are available to you (except feature update).
Restart your computer after installing updates and check the Windows Update page to see if Download and install now option is showing for you to update Windows 10 to version 1903.
