After installing Vivaldi 2.4 you’ll notice the new user Profile icon on the toolbar, its there to switch between the profiles and enter guest browsing, if you don’t share your Vivaldi browser with others, then you may find that unnecessary, here is how you can remove that.
Vivaldi 2.4 is about to get released, as of now it is in the release candidate stage. Version 2.4 going to bring user profiles to support, lets you further customize toolbars (both status bar and address bar) and added Calculator to Quick Commands for basic calculations.
With User Profiles support, you can share single Vivaldi installation with multiple users by creating different profiles for them, you might want your friend to use a guest window.
Clicking on the profile button displays your username, let you open a guest window, manage profiles and exit current session. If you use Chrome, the Profile picture appears permanently on the toolbar which you can’t remove, fortunately, you can do that in Vivaldi, the company has added an option for that in its settings.
Disable or remove User Profile icon on the toolbar in Vivaldi 2.4
1. Launch Vivaldi > Tools > Settings > Address bar
2. Under Profile Management, uncheck “Show Profile button”
3. Done, the profile icon disappears from the toolbar, if you want it back, turn on the setting mentioned above.
