While you’re checking for updates in Windows 10 for the arrival of a Cumulative Update, this happened: Windows Update has installed KB3199209 update quietly, checking the update history confirms that. FYI, KB3199209 is a servicing stack update for Windows 10 version 1607 (not a cumulative update) released by Microsoft and available for download via Windows Update, it brings the stability improvements for anniversary update edition.
KB3199209 Windows 10 Servicing Stack update
This update doesn’t require a restart to get installed on your computer and it also doesn’t change the Windows build or version number after successful installation. This isn’t the first time, the software giant has released servicing stack update for Windows 10, it has done that in the past also. This update replaces KB3176936, which is also a Servicing stack update published previously by Microsoft.

So you may not need to give too much importance to this update. Since the update is small, there are fewer chances for this update download/install to fail, however here are the download links for it we are making available for you below.

I have been using Quicken 2016 on my Surface Pro with Windows 10 for most of the year with no problems. Seems very coincidental that the same date of this windows update, Quicken only flashes the logo screen and wont load anymore. I uninstalled Quicken and reinstalled with no change. Community websites show similar problems in the past but no solutions. They claim that Quicken tech support blames the OS. Need a solution soon.
Sorry to know you’ve a problem with Quicken 2016. But your comment is not related to the post.
It actually was: “that the same date of this windows update, Quicken…wont load anymore.” Sorry mate, and good luck Phil
Gavin is 100% correct. This update has given me problems with Quickbooks as well. QB denies it’s their issue and says its the update. I cant uninstall it either.
I have a previzualization software that we’ve been running just fine until this update. Unfortunately I can’t just uninstall it without loosing my files. Ugh.
Microsoft on Windows 10 doesn’t allows us to uninstall that update like every update.
