
Restore missing Windows 10 Photo Viewer. After clean installing Windows 10 or when you do a Reset of your computer, you may notice Windows Photo Viewer option for Open with is missing in the right click menu for pictures, but Photos app option is there and of course, it’s the default app to open Photos in Windows 10. Restore Windows Photo Viewer in Windows 10
1. Create a restore point.
2. Download and save this registry file to your computer
3. Right click on it and select ‘Merge’, agree to the warning dialog and click ‘Yes’
4. To make it as default app to open Photos, visit Settings > System > Default Apps, click on Photos and select ‘Windows Photo Viewer’
Note: If you’ve installed November update, Windows 10 shows Photo Viewer for Photos.
