Office Compatibility Mode extension for Chrome now lets you download Microsoft Office Files

Google’s Office editing extension for Chrome now lets you download Word, Excel and PowerPoint files. Office Editing for Docs, Sheets & Slides extension which lets you view and edit Microsoft office files — Word, Excel and PowerPoint — from your hard drive, Google Drive, Gmail and more, using Google Docs, Sheets and Slides now lets you easily download edited Office files to your computer from Chrome browser. Yes! The Office Compatibility Mode extension has got an update and it is this.

“Based on feedback, we’ve added a new feature that makes it simpler to use those edited files on the web. This new download functionality provides a person with a local copy of their file instantly, making it easy to upload that file via a webform or to share it in a Microsoft Office format”.

Note: To download Office files, Chrome users need to install the extension mentioned in the post.
