Avast 2015 R2 beta adds Windows 10 Support and integrates Browser Cleanup into the UI

After Service Pack 1, yesterday Avast software has released a beta version of Avast 2015 R2 (release 2) and is available to download for testing. This beta has improved Windows 10 compatibility – so users using Technical Preview builds can able to test Avast on Windows 10- but security features like Sandbox, DeepScreen and Browser Plugin in IE might not work properly now.

Other significant changes:

1. Most controversial Browser Cleanup Tool, which has auto-deleted Firefox browser add-ons in the past has been integrated into the Avast UI and Smart Scan.

2. AccessAnywhere function is removed and replaced with a new remote connection feature available through Account screen in all editions.

3. GrimeFighter supports UEFI.

4. Avast NG, hardware assisted virtualization feature has got performance and stability fixes.

Known issues:

AOS plugin for chrome still needs some UI fixes.

Avast UI crashes on Windows XP64b.

Always install Avast or any other program with custom method to avoid install of Dropbox and other unnecessary features.

Caution: Uninstalling this beta version with Revo Uninstaller (advanced mode)  on Windows 7 has made our system non-bootable, so create a restore point first before trying out these builds.
