
If you don’t know service pack 1 (SP1) for Avast 2015 has been released with improvements and fixes to bugs. This update has also added a new option – ‘Ask when update is downloaded’– and it has been set as default in Program update settings. Till this version, ‘ask when an update is available’ was set as the default. You can change this setting to your liking by opening Settings from the interface> Update > under the Program by expanding Settings (check the screenshot below).
What’s new in Avast 2015 Service Pack 1
- Fixed problem with missing NG component under certain circumstances. Read more about hardware virtualization feature of NG here.
- Fixed a bug in the keyboard driver causing problems with keyboards.
- Better compatibility of the WebShield with some https pages (e.g. spotify, waze, etc.), HTTPS Scanning feature that causes Firefox to crash has been resolved, FYI Firefox 33.0.3 also comes with a fix to this issue.
- SecureDNS – better logic of server selection resulting in performance improvements.
- Fixed reported crashes.
